Message i think this is a very bad indeed but im not saying your friend is a bad rider or anything but i am saying there are a LOT of crazy riders out there that try to pull stunts and go ridiculously fast on the road. On top of that there are a lot of riders out there with only a permit, no license and no safety class...i would never put myself on my bike without first going to the safety class and i haven't riden in a while and i'm going to go back to an empty parking lot and practice a bit before i throw myself on the road. take precautions, don't try and do wheelies/endo to show off or anything, just ride normally and safely...be alert, be aware you'll be fine. do the speed limit, dont weave in and out of traffic. there are so many more tips...there are so many motorcyclists out there that have not gotten into any accidents, why is that? cause they just ride and enjoy to ride, they dont hop on a bike and try to show off and end up in the hospital...again im not saying your friend was doing anything wrong but the majority of deaths out there are from stupidity, there are also a select few incidents where riders have done everything right and just got into the accident cause the driver on the automobile was an idiot and felt they could cut off the bike/the bike can stop faster cause its smaller and lighter so they can cut them off or something along those lines....also gear up, a helmet is a definite, don't ride along or play with trucks they have a bad line of sight as is so steer clear of them if possible.
